YULE LOG WINTER CLAW Update 2017

The Talons of the CLAW are paying dues and preparing for the end of the year ceremonial white elephant gift exchange. The Fez are all neatly arranged over the burning yule tire, while visions of shaving plumb sharpeners dance disturbingly over the sleeping pencil sets. HARK! Now is a good time to join and ease-in before another turbulent year of drawing and mystery begins to pick up velocity!

Freelance Fandango

Open to all creatives Freelance Fandango has no dues and no officers. What it does have is a time and place where freelancing creative professionals can gather, do show-and-tell, exchange tips, prove counsel and generally hob-nob with each other. Epic Sketch Time

Hosted by Mark Monlux, Epic Sketch Time is an online drawing group. It doesn’t matter where you are, you can be a part of a drawing group without leaving the comfort of your house. Meetings are held via Google Hangout. Artists work on their projects while discussing pop-culture and sharing tips and tricks. Meetings are held weekly on Monday at 4:30pm Pacific. To participate send your gmail address [or email address you use to create your gmail account] to markmonlux@comcast.net. You will then be added to the attendee list. Reminders for the event are sent out that morning via twitter. Folks on the attendee list are sent an invite into the hangout a few minutes before 4:30pm. Have a problem getting in? twitter mark at @markmonlux. This group averages between 4-6 attendees each week. Should less than 3 show the event is cancelled. All events are recorded via YouTube. Jet City Comic Show 2017

It’s that time of year again!
CLAW members have been hard at work putting together fantastic merchandise for your pleasure, we are located at booth #217 in the exhibitor section.
Members Jennevieve Schlemmer, Anique Zimmer, and Steve Garvin will be staffing the table throughout the show. Our booth features original art prints, new T shirts by Jennevieve, and other merchandise as well as CLAW’s own shirts, prints and the release of a brand new coloring book featuring a selection of member artwork.

We will also be holding a surprise raffle, come by our table and see what you could win!

Individual members also have their own tables, definitely stop by  and see Mark Brill and Russell Richards in the artist alley at table AA-032, and Mark Monlux at AA-054. Everyone has wonderful new prints and merchandise, including a fantastic movie monster card deck by Mark Monlux!

We will also be holding a small meet and greet, a sister to the kickoff Drink and Draw, on Saturday, November 4th 7-10 PM at Dunagan Brewing Company. The event listing and venue information can be found on our Facebook event, feel free to RSVP and check out Dunagan Brewing’s drink and food menu.

Wayzgoose #13 – (Un)Lucky Tacoma

It’s that time of year again!
CLAW will be returning to the Tacoma Wayzgoose printing and letterpress festival at King’s Books, April 29-30th 2017.
On Saturday the 29th we have a booth, manned by Anique Zimmer, Jennevieve Schlemmer, and Steve Garvin, featuring official CLAW T-shirts and prints, original merchandise by our members, and fun activities to try!
The morning of Sunday, April 30th we will be doing steamroll prints of our Tacoma Hotel themed linocut.

Mark Monlux’s Robotic Overlords prints are making a return, along with the fun-sized version of James Stowe’s fantastic Flying Monkey print. They can be yours at $20 each!
